The male body as an enclosure of a will that doesn't want to be relegated to the dictates of morality and gender repression, bursts into the full force of its vulnerability in the paintings of Sebastian Moreno. A painter proud of his sexuality, who openly expresses his obsession with the latent fragility that we men all hide inside.

 

For centuries, the male figure has shunned the appreciation and appropriation of its  aesthetic virtues, only appearing as an ornamental complement to reinforce the apparent  feminine weakness. Great authors have had to drape the representation of the male phallus, considering it as an aggressive piercing-penetrator, thus protecting the propriety embodied in the female.

 

It was not until recently that  publicity discovered the suggestive potential of the male body, that one built in the temples to the physical cult, where, needless to say, homoeroticism is present like nowhere else.

 

At a time when fashion toys with unisexuality,  and in which men begin to take more care of themselves, it's a must to look toward the other, in recognition of the other half of the beauty that so unnaturally, has been hidden and forbidden from us.

 

This is where the pictorial discussion becomes effective, returning to the male his right to be represented, in both the powerful explosion of his sexuality, and in the unerasable vulnerability of his existential anguish which leads him to rethink every day about his role as a masculine provider and the dominant figure in his environment. 

 

 

It is true that I revel in the representation of the bodies that I admire, starting with my own and that of my partner. It's also a fact that I make myself an emissary of the desire of  those who want to finally be represented, in their diverse sexuality, or in the reaffirmation of their own gender.

 

Therefore I feel very grateful to all men and women who have opened up a space in their world allowing my creations to enter in, filling their walls with the ejaculation of my brushes as well as the post-orgasmic lassitude of my themes.

 

           

My sincere thanks to all for contributing to the continuation of my work, so that keeps producing its fruits. My internal engine is going strong and continues regenerating its power through the love and satisfactions of my day to day.

Mis series pictóricas


El cuerpo humano, en concreto el cuerpo masculino, como recinto de una voluntad que se niega a ser lo que otros le imponen, es el hilo conductor de mi obra, en donde intento explorar y explotar los sentimientos masculinos y los deseos homoeróticos de mis modelos.
Sin duda alguna, son las circunstancias reales de mi vida en un momento dado, las que me llevan a manifestar algunas de mis experiencias vitales. Reproduciéndolas no ya como un retrato intimo de lo que me sucede en ese instante personal, sino como una historia vivida tantas otras veces por cuantos otros han pasado o sentido algo semejante a lo mío.
El amor como motor de toda creación provechosa, es un aliento para cada uno de los trabajos en los que vierto mi sentir y, de algún modo, el sentir general, de quiénes como yo viven, sufren o padecen los deseos y las experiencias de la carne, que se nos quedan grabadas en el alma.

Pienso que el arte, por mucho que intentemos encasillarlo en algún cliché, será siempre una expresión universal e intemporal. Sin embargo, es innegable que ha habido y seguimos habiendo artistas que intentamos dejar nuestra impronta homoerótica en todo lo que hacemos, contribuyendo con ello a crear lo que algunos calificarian de "arte gay". Lo cual no tiene porque cerrar las puertas a la comprensión, la aceptación y el deleite de quienes no pertenezcan a nuestro grupo sexual o social.
